Miller Testing Center This fund will support the unfunded or underfunded testing and prevention programs of the Joseph F. Miller Testing and Prevention Center. Efroymson Client Assurance Fund The Client Assurance Fund ensures uninterrupted client services despite the threat of cuts in public resources and changes in private support due to the cyclical economy. Coby Palmer Food Pantry Fund Financial gifts made to the Coby Palmer Food Pantry Fund will be used to ensure continuous, high quality operation of The Damien Center food pantry. Facilities Maintenance Fund This fund provides capital for ongoing and emergency facility upkeep to ensure prolonged quality care at The Damien Center. Marlin J. Moman Prevention Fund The Marlin J. Moman Prevention Fund was created by the family and friends of Marlin J. Moman, who died of AIDS-related causes in 1994. Marlin was a client at the Center, and the family was greatly assisted by the support from the Damien Center through prayers, support groups, new friends, and a memorial service. J. David Moman, Marlin's brother, is an employee of the Center and has been for over five years. He has worked with the Center before, by creating a program at his last employer for chemically dependent HIV+ clients. The sole purpose of this Fund is to help prevent the spread of this deadly disease by sustaining and increasing personnel to test and teach about prevention. The current staff often have to make personal sacrifices in order to provide daily and weekend coverage to meet the community's needs. The Moman Family and their friends have already made financial donations and commitments to the Fund to help it truly be a Living Fund. But this has to be a community effort as well to sustain these prevention goals. For more information on The Marlin J. Moman Fund, please contact David Moman: dmoman@damien.org for more information. |
